In what could be a first for the international rap artist, he hip-hopped before a crowd of disaster survivors in a heartwarming show of support and affection.

Fans gathered made up of lolos and lolas, moms tending to their babies, toddlers playing nearby and even on the stage, along with teen middle-agers.

Kababayan apl.de.ap belted out “Bebot” and “The Apl Song” and his signature “We Can Be Anything”, a composition for the “Bayanihang Pampaaralan” campaign to promote education and build 10,000 classrooms for poor children in 10 months.

The finale, “Where is the Love?”, expressed affirmation, as he noted “because that’s what we need right now!”

His trip to Cagayan was arranged by Philippine Business for Social Progress partnering with Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, TV5, One Meralco Foundation, PLDT-Smart Foundation, PLDT and Smart Communications Inc.
