The PLDT-Smart Foundation Inc. (PSF) supports microfinance initiatives as means of providing Filipinos with opportunities to increase economic activity, foster the spirit of entrepreneurship, facilitate employment and improve the quality of lives and communities.
Partnership with ASA Philippines Foundation, Inc.
The PSF has partnered with ASA Philippines Foundation, Inc. ("ASA") which has 70,000 borrowers. Through its microfinance program, ASA aims to provide micro-entrepreneurs access to working capital to expand their businesses. Utility personnel such as waiters, janitors, drivers and security guards who work at PLDT and Smart may likewise avail of loans from ASA.
