In support of the Juvenile Justice Law (RA 9344) and as part of its efforts in investing in the youth, PSF is setting up a juvenile rehabilitation facility that will be complemented by developmental trainings. Through this program, the PSF hopes to help save children from prison terms that would only worsen their plight.
Juvenile Rehabilitation Facility
The PSF in cooperation with the La Salle Greenhills 82 Alumni Association Inc. and Bro. Gus Bouquer of the La Salle Brothers is setting up a juvenile rehabilitation facility in Dasmariñas, Cavite that can house Children-In-Conflict with the Law (CICL) as they undergo various programs necessary for their re-integration to the society.
Development Trainings
In partnership with Childhope and Virlanie Foundation, a half-day development training program will be put into place in different barangays identified by the PLDT Asset Protection Center as having the most number of apprehended minors related to cable theft.
Fundraising for Juvenile Rehabilitation Center
As part of its campaign to raise funds for the juvenile rehabilitation center that will be built in partnership with De La Salle University in Dasmariñas, Cavite, the PSF held a fundraising ball for U.S. universities and Ivy League schools on March 30, 2008. Other plans include tapping of youth-oriented companies that can provide additional sponsorship.
