PSF, PLDT's Manager Club salute teachers through Gabay Guro

The PLDT – SMART Foundation, together with PLDT’s Managers Club, pay tribute to teachers’ hard work with the first ever Gabay Guro Teacher’s Day on October 10. Chosen teachers and students will be given special treatment as they will be flown in to Manila from other provinces on October 8 to participate in training and special activities. 

Over 200 teachers are now part of the Gabay Guro program and 70 students have been given educational grants.  The Gabay Guro Program aims to support and honor teachers through scholarship grants, and English proficiency and computer literacy training programs. Through this program, PLDT supports the Department of Education’s goal of improving the quality of education in the country.  It is their way of giving back to the people who dedicated their lives for us — our teachers.
